Happy Rascals is dedicated to the goal of training top quality groomers. Therefore, upon completing
our training, each trainee leaves with the confidence and skills to start a career in grooming.
The school is owned and operated by Mary Beaverson who has over fifteen
years of experience as a dog groomer and trainer.
Located in Pennsauken, New Jersey, the school has 4 grooming stations
in an 800 square foot facility. Under the direction of Mrs. Beaverson and her staff, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed,
yet highly professional.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
Happy Rascals teaches
all aspects of dog grooming. Because Happy Rascals is also a grooming salon, training is taught in a highly individualized
hands-on environment. There are no classroom situations. Trainees groom dogs every day and are encouraged to work and learn
at their own pace.
HOW DO I QUALIFY?
It is not necessary
to have a high school diploma or GED to enroll in Happy Rascals Grooming School. The only requirements are that you be 17
years old or older and that you are physically able to groom.
The school has an open enrollment plan: that is a student
may begin training upon availability of space in the facility.
TRAINING AND FEE SCHEDULE
Length of time
to complete the training depends on the schedule you choose. Please contact us for more information.
A certificate
and a job reference is issued to those trainees attaining minimum satisfactory completion of training.
The tuition is $15
per hour. Payment is due each day for the amount of hours you are training that day. The required tools and supplies for the
course are $700.00. You are required to purchase your tools by the time you finish 100 hours of training.
There is a $25.00
non-refundable application fee.
